Bill co-founded the firm in 1993 and helped to develop it into a successful business dedicated to advising occupiers and investors on commercial property in Scotland.
With more than 30 years experience, Bill has an extensive knowledge of the retail property market and is both respected and well-connected within the business.
In addition to agency and rent review work, Bill has a long record in retail development and investment business, having been involved in the purchase, letting, development and sale of many major schemes throughout Scotland.

Fraser Clearie - Partner
Qualifying in 1980, Fraser has broad experience working in major private and public companies, and is widely recognised as a specialist in rent reviews, arbitration and expert determination. He also has considerable expertise in development and funding consultancy fields together with related business space agency.
He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, founder member of the RICS Dispute Resolution Faculty Board and a regular contributor to conferences.

Ron McChristie
Ron joined the firm after a 30 year career in local government culminating in the position of Acting Depute Director of Estates at Glasgow City Council.
He has considerable experience in the development and disposal of Council owned property assets, in particular, negotiations with the private sector on major development initiatives for residential and commercial purposes throughout the city.
More recently he has contributed to the promotion and initiation of private sector developments, including schemes on land owned by Councils and Universities.

Laura Johnstone
Laura is a Chartered Town Planner and Chartered Surveyor who specialises in urban regeneration projects and economic development. She previously worked at a senior level within Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Executive and local government, and has a detailed understanding of public policy and development 'mechanisms'.
More recently her experience has included market reviews for business space, assessing potential within property portfolios, planning advice, analysis of mixed use schemes and acting as in-house planning development advisor.
Laura is also Chairperson of RICS Design Awards in Scotland and Board member of RICS Planning Development Division.

Alison Bone – Office Manager/Partnership Secretary
A graduate of The Queens College, Glasgow, Alison worked with Halladale Developments for several years gaining experience in a commercial property company before joining our firm in 2003. As Riddell Thoms' Partnership Secretary, she is responsible for the firm's administration and supervision of information technology systems.
